We — the Foundation «Belarus 2020» — invite you to join the public campaign «Book of Memory «2020»!

«2020» — these numbers unite millions of Belarusians. These are numbers of mourning for those who perished, anger over the maimed and imprisoned, and also «2020» — this is the code of honor for compatriots and the joy of uniting people around the idea of good here and now.

In 2020, Belarusians became a civic community of the 21st century: we remain one mental whole beyond the state. We live on different continents, but we create one space of memory.

A Belarusian to a Belarusian is a Belarusian, The thyme smells, Life lives eternally!

We are united by the experience of the Revolution of Consciousness, in which we see the National, Women’s, Civic, and indeed Civilizational Revolution.

In 2020, we became the majority on our land — people for whom Belarus is the idea of Our Home.

By the most conservative estimates, in 2020 at least 25% of adult citizens took to the streets. And altogether for changes in the life of Belarus, more than 70% spoke out. We — the majority, whose forward movement was temporarily stopped by the use of weapons.

What problem does the public campaign «Book of Memory «2020» call to solve?

Today, the memory of «2020» is being erased. To present thousands and thousands of acts of heroism and dignity as absurdity. We are called to do the opposite: to mark 2020 as the beginning of a new era in the history of Belarusians.

The public campaign «Book of Memory «2020» is called to restore justice.

We — Belarusians — already have books-testimonies of crimes behind bars. We have books that reflect the lives of people in forced emigration. We have scientific monographs analyzing events in Belarus in recent times. «Book of Memory «2020» must provide an understanding of changes within people. Because the new Belarus — this is consciously new Belarusians.

Becoming a volunteer.

What resources and funds are needed:

Work of editors;

Work of interviewers;

Work of designers;

Work of typesetters;

Work of proofreaders;

Technical support of the website;

Work with SEO and SMM;

Work with social networks;

Work with photo and video illustrations;

Payment for the use of AI tools to prepare an animated encyclopedia based on «Book of Memory ‘2020’»;

Payment for the work of a lawyer;

Payment for the work of an accountant;

Payment for advertising;

Payment for the work of experts — part of the project should be recommended for the educational process.

The first volume of «Book of Memory «2020» is planned as an overview-introductory to the topic of Belarusian 2020. Form — artistic-documentary reconstruction.

In parallel, we are already planning the preparation of books by regions: «Book of Memory «2020»  — Grodno Region», «Book of Memory «2020» — Brest Region» and so on.
